Everything you need to know — from basic movement to advanced combat techniques. Master the controls and conquer every level.
Super Ninja Adventure supports both keyboard and touchscreen controls. On desktop, you can use either the Arrow keys or WASD — pick whichever feels more natural. On mobile devices, responsive on-screen buttons appear automatically.
Desktop Controls
On touchscreens, a virtual D-pad appears in the lower-left corner for movement, while action buttons (Jump and Attack) sit in the lower-right corner. The layout is designed for comfortable thumb play in landscape orientation, but portrait mode is also supported.
Your goal is simple: guide your ninja from the start of each level to the exit gate while defeating enemies, avoiding traps, and collecting shuriken stars. Each world culminates in a boss fight that tests the skills you have built throughout the preceding levels.
Your score is based on three factors:
Your ninja accelerates gradually. Short taps produce careful steps, while holding the direction key builds speed. Faster movement means longer jumps, which is essential for clearing wide gaps. Learning to control your momentum is the foundation of advanced play.
The jump height varies based on how long you hold the jump button. A quick tap produces a short hop (perfect for low obstacles), while a full press launches you to maximum height. The double-jump can be triggered at any point during your ascent or descent, giving you flexible mid-air control.
The basic slash has a short range but is fast. You can chain up to three slashes in a ground combo. Attacking in mid-air performs a downward diagonal slash that can bounce you off enemies — use this to reach areas that seem out of reach.
Pro Tip
Combine a running jump with a mid-air slash to cover maximum distance while taking out enemies in your path. This "slash-jump" technique is essential for speedrunning later levels.
Pressing Down while standing makes your ninja crouch, reducing your hitbox and letting you pass under low obstacles. Pressing Down while running triggers a slide that carries you forward with momentum — useful for dodging projectiles and slipping through narrow gaps.
Super Ninja Adventure features 12 distinct enemy types, each with unique behaviour patterns:
When you jump into a wall, your ninja briefly clings to the surface. Press Jump again while clinging to perform a wall-jump that launches you in the opposite direction. Alternating wall-jumps between two close walls lets you climb vertical shafts — a technique required in several late-game levels.
Slash an enemy in mid-air and immediately press Jump to bounce upward. If another enemy is directly above, you can chain this into a multi-bounce combo that keeps you airborne while clearing a vertical stack of foes. Mastering this technique is the key to achieving high scores on levels with dense enemy placement.
The dash move (Shift) carries you forward quickly but has a short recovery window at the end. You can cancel this recovery by pressing Attack during the final frames, transitioning directly into a slash. This "dash-cancel" technique is useful for boss fights where speed and aggression matter.
Boss Strategy
Every boss has a three-phase pattern. In the first phase, focus on learning their attack telegraphs. In the second phase, openings become shorter — prioritise safe damage over greedy combos. In the final phase, bosses gain new moves, but they also leave larger windows after their strongest attacks. Patience wins boss fights.
The game auto-saves your progress after each completed level using your browser's local storage. As long as you play on the same device and browser, your progress will be there when you return.
Super Ninja Adventure does not have a traditional difficulty selector, but the game naturally ramps up in challenge. If a level feels too hard, try replaying earlier stages to improve your skills and score before moving on.
Close unused browser tabs, disable browser extensions, and make sure your device is not in a low-power mode. The game is lightweight by design, but running many applications simultaneously can affect performance.
